Fire statistic.
Fire statistics departament in VNIIPO (All-Russian Research Institute for Fire Protection) has at its disposal data base on fires in Russia, which includes more than 60 indices on each fire over the last 10 years.
The base has data on the follouring directions characterizing the fire:
- departmental belonging;
- kind of property;
- an object of a fire (more than 100 indices);
- number of stories in a building;
- degree of fire resistance;
- place of fire origin (more than 50 indices);
- product, device (more than 30 indices);
- cause of fire;
- detailed data on injured;
- fire aftereffects;
- indices characterizing fire development and extinction.
Availability of data characterizing an economic potential of regions of Russia lets the department carry out analytical investigations of the indices effect on the situation with fires in different regions for receiving recommendations on improvement of fire service activity.
